3rd August 1876 - Founded as the Leek & Moorland Bicycle Club, meeting place Old Plough Vaults, St Edward Street, Leek - now demolished.
1877 - Wooden Wheel Machine purchased for members to practice on, the five main roads (Macclesfield Road, Buxton Road, Ashbourne Road, Cheadle Road, Stoke Road) to be used in rotation.
14th September 1878 - the first Championship race, Leek to Sutton Toll Gate and back.
June 20th 1879 - Name changed to the Leek Bicycle Club.
1880 - W. Challinor Esq Elected First President.
5th April 1880 - First Racing Committee formed.
3rd March 1881 - Invitation ride from the Anfield Bicycle Club to meet them at Knutsford.
27th May 1881 - That tricycles be admitted to the Club.
23rd February 1882 - Suggested uniform to be military tunic, bars of braid across, two breast pockets, nickerbockers braid on seams, helmet and stockings to match in colour.
10th September 1883 - Name changed to Leek Cyclists' Club.
8th January 1885 - That the Club joins the local centre of the N.C.U. (National Cyclists' Union)
27th June 1893 - That a heart-shaped board be fixed in the Market Place to give notice where the Club has gone on their runs.
1904 - First camp on the Isle of Man
12th September 1926 - Revival of the 5 mile race, winner H. Rowley 15m 23s.
1927- First night ride to New Brighton, covering 127 miles.
20th May 1928 - Run to Cyclists War Memorial at Meriden.
24th June 1928 - 25 mile time trial, winner E. Maycock 1hr 17m 46s.
1932 - William Keats appointed Club Captain.
7th December 1933 - Sir Enoch Hill's new trophy presented to W. Robey. All medals presented to Miss K. Allen and Miss B. Mellor for 100 miles in 8 hours. First ladies to win medals with the Club.
1935 - Request by members for runs throughout the year, previously only held from March to October.
1940 - It was impossible to conduct runs as in peace time. It was decided to hold informal runs for the duration of the war.
15th February 1941 - Death of founder member Mr. W.T. Cook aged 91 years. He was succeeded as secretary by W. Keates.
1948 - P.E. Shenton "Junior Cup" won by R. Trafford.
1953 - North Staffs N.C.U. Ladies '25' Champiosnhip. 1. Eva Emberton, 2. Val Hancock. 3. Olga Lees.
1958 - Mr. F. Allen made Life Member of Club.
1966 - 90th Anniversary. Promotion of National Amateur Road Race Championship 90 miles on Gun Hill Circuit. Winner Les West 4hrs 3m 15s.
7th July 1975 - "Lutz Criterium" race round the town centre for Professional riders. Winner Les West. Estimated 5,000 spectators.
