By heck its gone chilly and apart from the hardy or should that be foolhardy souls, shorts and bare arms are a thing of the past and unless you decide to have a serious go at the Christmas 25 race clothing is banished to the back of the wardrobe till next spring! All is not gloom though for it’s time for the winter club run program starting next week end with a trip to the scenic valley of Ilam for the Dovedale Dash, don’t panic nobody as to take part although certain members have been rumoured to be involved with training of a running nature, some despite having new winter bikes, I use to have a second bike you know but it got Roger’d! Back to the club runs though and the 9th is Eccleshall, well now we’ve taught them how to do beans on toast it’s a pity not to exploit it. 16th for added Cheese Wysteria . 23rd Noels Garage or how to get to Ipstones the hard way, rounding up the month and before the weather seals it off the 30th sees an ascent to Elton so dig out your warm clothing and crampons.

On the non-athletic side November is split into two halves finishing with the clubs prize presentation evening, more of which later in the month (of course its in hand I am just building up the excitement) before that on the 3rd of November it is AGM time. Members please note the venue is upstairs at Den Engel’s, also we have an 8pm start time as there are lots to get through such as restructuring of club officials, anybody any good at writing waffle? Frequency and nature of club meetings, wether we continue to promote and support  events and how we organise bodies to do it! Ideas on how we can better communicate within the club. Plus sponsorship, Affilations, subscriptions and clothing. All ideas are welcome remember its your club and where the future goes is up to all of us!

Our friends at Congleton have organised a track night for the 1st of December and there a re a few places left anybody interested should contact me ASAP

And finally get well wishes to Kevin Sharrock who I last reported having been admitted to hospital, after an operation Kev’s now back at home and on the road to recovery but getting a tad bored, never mind Kev if the Weather guys are anything like correct you will soon be glad for a reason to be inside.
