Yours truly failed Sundays ride tackling instead a 3 course meal at Congletons prize giving, other club members taking the soft option were Kevin & Roe Sharrock, Glyn & Joan Hewines, Maurice & Mary Wilshaw, I got to share a table with one of my TT heroes, Roger Little. Back on the road I discovered that Congletons long reliability will be to Ironbridge, on February 16th, this gives an extra weeks grace for those of us not up to the Llangollen and will be added into the club run sheet. This weeks run will be a nice flat run to Malkins Bank. This gives a schedule to the end of next month of 2nd Lyme 45, 9th 100/Impromptu, 16th Ironbridge,23rd Armitage. The Impromptu ride on the 9th is for those not ready for the Llangollen. Those who do intend on riding though need to contact Marc on 01538 361398 ASAP to organize themselves.

Club kit news and the design as now been finalized orders will be taken till the end of the month when they will have to be placed to receive them in time for the start of the new season although this feels along way off especially for those of us who have only just finished over indulging for the Christmas period it is really just around the corner. Final cut off date will be next months club night on the 3rd of February. It also as to be stressed that we cannot just order one offs when members decide they fancy something, so please think ahead.

Talking of thinking ahead and reports of members doing just that are flooding in with Mark Poyser out training with a national champion no less, whilst Ian Peacock as gone one better employing the services of a British Cycling Coach! I can also vouch for the fitness of messrs Phil Gayes and Dave Cope who are already virtually race fit. Marc Briand and Andy Bain are entering a duathlon at the beginning of March. Even Mr. Halden has started his build up for this years attempt at the 24hr, some 3 months earlier than last year all of the above will be pleased to hear that we have ordered 10 copies of the RRTC handbook available on first come first served basis for £4.00 each instead of the full price £4.50. It looks like it may be a long season!
